BALTIMORE, MD — There are multiple job fairs coming up in Maryland. Royal Farms and Fort Meade are among those hiring, as well as health care, housing and IT providers.
Royal Farms is having a recruitment event at Northwest American Job Center this week. The job fair will be held at Mondawmin Mall. People must register at the job center before the event.
Candidates should be able to work with customers as well as independently and on a team.
The Royal Farms job fair will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Northwest American Job Center, Suite 302, 2401 Liberty Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21215.
A construction job fair is happening Thursday, Jan. 24, in Washington, D.C.
Those with experience in plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, insulation, masonry, laborer, HVAC, window installation, glazing, sprinklers, roofing and rough carpentry are sought.
Those with all levels of experience are needed; there will be opportunities for entry-level and trainee positions.
The construction job fair will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, on the first floor of the The Festival Center, 1640 Columbia Road Northwest, Washington, D.C. 20009. It is sponsored by Mill Creek Residential.
There will be a behavioral health care worker job fair on Friday, Jan. 24, in Baltimore.
RN, LPN, GNA, CAN, RMA and social workers are wanted. Applicants must be certified in Maryland or D.C.
Positions available include registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, geriatric nursing assistants, certified nursing assistants, registered medical assistants, direct support professionals, bachelor’s degree case managers, autism aides, behavioral aides, dedicated aides, special education teachers and LGSW, LICSW, LCSW-C and LCPC.
The behavioral health care worker job fair will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, at the Mayor’s Office of Employment Development, 100 West 23rd Street, Baltimore, MD 21218. Align Staffing is coordinating the event and requests that interested parties fill out an application online. Those attending the event should also bring copies of their resume, two forms of identification and three references.
Tech-savvy workers who have Skype can participate in the business, data and tech virtual job fair. Register here. The virtual job fair will last from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25. It takes place online and covers positions in the D.C. area.
National Career Fairs is hosting a Baltimore Career Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 7. First, register to attend the fair; it is free. Once you register, you will receive information about which employers will be at the fair. Then go onto the National Career Fairs website to upload your resume and look at jobs.
The Baltimore Career Fair will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, at the Inn at the Colonnade, 4 West University Parkway, Baltimore, MD 21218.
Fort Meade is hosting a job fair that will focus on technical jobs. Applicants are encouraged to bring their resumes and dress for success. Bring a photo ID or driver’s license.
Those who do not have military/Department of Defense identification must report first to the gate on MD 175 and Reece Road, then proceed to the Fort Meade Visitor Control Center.
A resume doctor will be on site offering free evaluations of resumes for job seekers. There will also be an ASL interpreter on site; contact Jerome Duncan at firstname.lastname@example.org by March 7 to request an appointment.
The technical job fair at Fort Meade will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, at Club Meade, 6600 Mapes Road, Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. The event is open to the public.
The Columbia Workforce Center is holding an Information Technology Job Fair on Thursday, March 29.
Job seekers should bring copies of their resume and dress to impress.
The IT job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, March 29, at North Laurel Community Center, 9411 Whiskey Bottom Road, Laurel, MD 20723.
